I have two, which aren't big numbers, but relative to my bets and bankroll, pretty bad. The worst was walking into the Saratoga "Casino." It's a slot parlor run by the NY lottery. These aren't regular RNG slot machines. They look like it, but each spin is basically a scratch off ticket. So I avoid those. But they have video Craps. I figured it's safe because you can play with or against. Wrong. $300 gone in 15 minutes. I swear a DC bet triggers a 7 out. Switch to the right way. Point 7, Point 7..... never been back.
The worst at a real craps table had a Don't betters dream scenario. Point established. And covered the 5 other numbers through the DC. Now that will make you excitedly nervous. The shooter can hit numbers, but the 7 is inevitable. He proceeded to pick off my 5 numbers, then hit the point. $210 gone in one round.
In terms of cash lost, I had a 10k loss in one day on KENO. It was not all at one casino sadly. I managed to chase the loss at a few different casinos, all local places.
I had a fairly large bonus one year. At the time I was relatively new to playing Keno and had recently won some nice jackpots. About a week earlier I had played on my first 20 card keno machine.
When I first saw a 20 card keno machine, I was like "holy smokes" 20 CARDS!#$ How could I lose? For those of you non Keno players ( you are forgiven), keno lets you pick up to 10 numbers out of 80. You hit the start button and 20 numbers are randomly generated. You win by having your numbers generated, the more numbers, the more pay. That is just 1 card. A 20 card machine lets you pick 20 different combinations on the same game. Personally I bet 5 cards with 5 numbers, and 15 with 9 numbers.
A week into playing my first 20 card machine at the Obannon Dottys (of course), I won nearly $4k by hitting a 10 out of 10, the odds of which are staggering btw. The numbers I had picked were 1 to 10 and all of them came up. Sadly I was just playing pennies. Just a few cents on each card, thus only 4k.
I was convinced that with enough of a bankroll, patience and the right level of play, I could score something big.
With my 10k in a bank envelope I found a 20 card machine that started at .25 cents a way, meaning at least $5 every time I hit start. My machine allowed up to 4x your starting bet, so $20 each play.
It did not go well. I was crushed, stunned and forced to rethink my keno addiction. Which of course did not go well. After this I did however resign myself to a fixed bankroll and stopped chasing my losses with the same level of optimism.
I wish I had even an inkling of hope that night, but it was not to be. I lost and lost hard. My only good memory from that day, was the dinner I enjoyed at the Bellagio to wash it all down.
5k, playing 100 a pull slots.never again!!
they all become a blur
